Involvement in European Projects
• Coordinator of the following programmes: TEMPUS JEP 1930 (1993-95) and JEN (1995-97) for teachers of the University of Warsaw English Language Teacher Education College and teacher training colleges nationwide affiliated with the University of Warsaw.
• Coordinator of the following programmes sponsored by the British Council for teachers of the University of Warsaw English Language Teacher Education College and teacher training colleges nationwide affiliated with the University of Warsaw.
PACE (Polish Access to English) 1992-1994,
PRINCE (Pre-In-service and Continuing Education) 1994-1998,
SPRITE (Support for Polish Reform in Teacher Education ) 1998-2000.
• Co-author and co-ordinator of the project MA in English Language Teaching (1997) financed by TESSA (Training and Education in Strategically Significant Areas).
• 1993-2000 Organiser of 15 international conferences for teachers of the University of Warsaw English Language Teacher Education College and teacher training colleges nationwide affiliated with the University of Warsaw, which were aimed at disseminating the results of the programmes: Tempus, JEP-1930, JEN,1995-96 and PACE/PRINCE/SPRITE 1992 – 2000.

Plurilingualism & pluriculturalism activities

• 2000-2003 Graz, European Centre for Modern Languages:
Participant of the ECML programme Janua Linguarum- The Gateway to Languages. The Introduction of language awareness into curriculum. and co-ordinator of these activities in the University of Warsaw English Language Teacher Education College.
• 24th November 2001 the University of Warsaw: Co-organiser of the international conference organised by the University of Warsaw Centre for Foreign Language Teacher Training and European Education for primary school teachers, secondary school teaches and academic teachers on the dissemination of the Janua Linguarum programme;
• 24th November 2003 the University of Warsaw: Co-organiser of the workshop for academic teacher trainers on ‘Differentiating and Developing the Foreign Language Teacher Education Curriculum by incorporating it with Plurilingualism & Pluriculturalism’.
• 2004-2007 Graz, European Centre for Modern Languages:
A member of the co-ordinating team of ECML ‘Language Educator Awareness (LEA) Programme’, which has sought to incorporate dimensions of plurilingualism and pluriculturalism via language educators into language learning institutions.
The main objective of the project was to elaborate didactic materials for language teacher educators, thereby enabling them to introduce plurilingualism and pluriculturalism into the classroom.
